There are many people who talk theory. This is okay; theory is okay. I talk practical. My challenge is to go around the world and tell people of this world—not on the moon, not on Mars, but of this earth—that peace is possible.
I tell them, “The finest human achievement of mankind will not be the rockets, will not be the space exploration. But the finest achievement of mankind will be peace.” I cannot talk theory.
Because, do you know how many people there are in this world who look at me and say, “You’re crazy. There will never be peace. Never be peace.” And I say, “No. There will be peace.” Why?
(Ha-hah.) For war, you have to do something. You have to prepare. You have to get ready. You have to have weapons. You have to have training. You have to have uniforms. You have to have discipline. You have to have tanks. You have to have cars. You have to have planes. You have to have ships. You have to have submarines.
For peace, you don’t need anything. Nothing! Nothing! Not even a flower. Nothing. Because peace is a light that is already lit inside of you.
So, tonight I’ve been talking about the human potential; I’ve been talking, “The peace is in you,” “What you are looking for is in you.” You must be going, “Well, if this is true, how come I don’t know it?!”
Okay. (See, I told you I’m not about theories; I’m practical.) With your two eyes, you see the world, right? Right? You can see everybody’s face with these two eyes, right? Except for yours. You can’t see yours.
For these eyes to see your face, you require a mirror. Not a theory. It’s practical. And the day you begin to understand—as simple as that—you are on your way to peace.

You hold in you that incredible nature, like the nature of water. Appreciate what the nature of water is. It is capable and can transform itself into vapor called steam, gas. It can transform itself into almost a solid, like a rock—ice. It can transform itself into a powder—snow.
And, given the opportunity, it will always come back to what it is—liquid. That’s where it lives; that’s where it resides. It can become ice. It melts—the first opportunity? Back to liquid. Vapor? Condense? Back to liquid. Flow, flow, flow, flow, flow, and into that ocean—and done.
When that water merges with the ocean, it doesn’t lose its identity—that is its identity. And from that, it goes on, on a journey. And its journey begins with first being a vapor—condensing, becoming a cloud, and moving right along, and then falling down as rain.
And in that journey, when it comes as rain, it will grow things; it will destroy things; it will change things; it will make things. It will freeze; it will be snow; it will melt; it will become a river—and it’ll come back to being what it is.
This is your nature too. You go through all of these changes. Those are just part of it. But eventually, do you know what your nature is? Your nature, your real nature, is to be in peace. This is your real nature. Your real nature is to be content. Your real nature is to be in joy. That’s your real nature.
And you can go through all these journeys, but given the opportunity, this is what you want to come back to. This is where you will feel at home—because it is home. This is where you will feel complete, because it is complete.
And that is what needs to take place. You need…you need to let your true nature happen. This is what you ache for. This is what you want. And in all your efforts in the whole world, all the changes you make, it is to make that happen. But the question is, “Is it happening or not?”
Do understand that these are the things that I am talking about. I’m not talking about creating these things; I’m not talking about bringing this thing; I’m not talking about you changing. Do you get that?
I’m not talking about you changing—because you don’t need to change. Because this is already inside of you! We’re not talking about anything happening—it’s already inside of you.
There are people who are afraid to change. Some people are, “I’m too old to change.” Some people are, “I’m too young to change”—because we’re so good at excuses….
So, some people are too young to change; some people are too old to change; some people are too educated to change; some people are not educated enough to change; some people are not feeling like change.
But I’m not talking about change. I’m not talking about changing your beliefs. This has nothing to do with beliefs. This is has nothing to do—I’m not talking about you changing your religion. It has nothing to do with religion. So what does it have something to do with? You!

You have a yearning, a yearning to be fulfilled. And that yearning will not go away till you are. No matter how many distractions you place in front of you, you will not be able to forget that inner thirst that surfaces again and again and again and again.
How strong is the want of that one drop to meet back with the ocean? How strong? How strong? That little drop really just became steam, floated up, condensed, became a cloud, traversed thousands and thousands and thousands of thousands of miles. Fell—and some of it fell in places where it froze. Ah!—froze. Now it’s trapped! Right? Or is it?
No. Like a glacier—have you seen a glacier? Have you heard of a glacier? It moves like a river, very slowly—but it moves. And all those drops that are caught in that glacier, even though they are frozen, they’re moving. And where are they going? To meet once again with that source that is the ocean.
When you begin to address that want, that dynamic of that drop that wants to join the ocean and nothing will hold it back, then you begin to understand what peace is all about—that you, too, are a part of that that is everywhere.
And to join it, to want it, to be with it, the desire is so prevalent that when that process is not happening, that is what creates the deficit, the lack of peace. That’s what creates the lack of peace. And when that process is happening? Then peace is there.
Peace doesn’t need to be manufactured; peace doesn’t need to be created; peace doesn’t need to be transported; peace doesn’t have to come from anywhere else. Every single human being on the face of this earth has peace.
Because one of the most beautiful gifts that peace brings is joy. And it is a joy that fills every part of a human being.
