All of the great teachers from around the world have taught that peace lies within. One such extraordinary teacher was the father of Prem Rawat, Hans Rām Singh Rawat. Hans began his mission to spread the knowledge of inner peace throughout India at twelve years old. His greatest teachings were that all religions spring from one source, peace is indivisible, and every person has the potential for finding peace.

We celebrate Han’s 119th birthday with Prem and renew our emphasis on knowledge lovingly handed down from father to son. Prem speaks his truth for us from Los Angeles during this special Hans Jayanti anniversary event. As a child, Prem loved to witness the sea of people coming to hear his father. When Hans talked, the silence grew and listeners could hear a pin drop as the thousands present concentrated single-mindedly on each word. Even as a boy, Prem was given center stage to speak and received the same respect as his father before him.

Given the time in which he lived, Hans was visionary. He was an egalitarian, a reformist, and wholeheartedly believed all could come and follow the truth regardless of caste, which was a revolutionary stance at the time. As energy is never created nor destroyed, Hans’ powerful message and his peaceful mastery are still present with us in Prem each time he takes the stage.

As Shri Hans approached the end of his life, he chose Prem to step into his footsteps to fill the need for his message to be heard around the world, with Prem adding his own unique style and flair. Prem continues to passionately share the message of peace around the world. Unflinchingly, he animates his commitment to self-knowledge in a modern way that can enhance the everyday lives of his listeners.

In honor of his father, this special broadcast features Prem sharing with us a poignant message about dreams, and gets to the heart of the real “you”. The ultimate awareness is knowing you are a dreamer and being in control of your dreams. There is no longer a separation between you and the dream. You are the dream living itself. When that is realized the infinite universe opens to welcome you.
